I am sorry for the delay in getting details finalised but I have had a few personal problems over the last one and a half months, which delayed me. The TCJJP meeting will be in two parts rather than the three as I had originally hoped, as the trip to Bridgwater to visit Gerber Soft Drinks has had to be cancelled. However, there will be an International Fruit Juice Union Analytical Commission meeting on Friday 27^th at Reading and any TCJJP members would be very welcome to attend this as observers.

On Wednesday 25^th April there will be a seminar, the topics will be split into two types:

The first is a regulatory theme with items covering the US, Europe & the World. There will also be a look at the AIJN Code of Practice and its aims etc. This is the way the European fruit juice industry controls the quality and authenticity of their products.

The afternoon will have a more technical flavour (flavor) with talks on various technical issues.

The talks will be about 30 minutes in length with about 10 minutes for questions at the end of each talk.

Unfortunately the cost of hotel rooms in Reading is high, due to a lack of them & a booming high tech industry!

We have got the best deal through a Booking Agency, Diamond Events, who are holding 20 rooms for us at the Reading Posthouse Hotel until the 1^st April 2001. The cost for single occupancy will be ,129.00 per room per night inc. VAT & full English Breakfast and ,139 for double occupancy per night inc. VAT & full English Breakfast. If people are staying the Friday/ Saturday/Sunday night the cost will be much cheaper @ ,43/room for single occupancy and ,86/room for two people. You will of course be responsible for settling your own account on your departure from the hotel.
